Hi, I'm Sherry!

Welcome to Ready Go Hike!

I've been a professional travel writer for over two fabulous decades. Deeply involved in the cruise industry, I covered ocean and river cruising, experienced trains around the world, while doing it all as a solo traveler. A few years ago, I bought a camper van and started to travel across the USA and Canada with my dog Poppy.

Since then, I've fallen in love with the outdoors, especially hiking and walking. From Alaska to Florida, through dense forests, across grassy meadows, I even attempted to traipse up a mountain or two. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just starting out, my mission on my new site, Ready Go Hike, is to help you choose the right gear for your needs and budget, suggest trails and destination ideas, and share tips and advice for your next hike. Or even just a peaceful walk through nature.

Cheers to memorable hiking adventures and extraordinary experiences!
